Meet Bud and Doug, two enthusiastic (if not slightly misguided) writers with dreams of Broadway glory. Armed with nothing but boundless creativity and a plethora of hilarious hats, these two lovable underdogs embark on a quest to stage their over-the-top historical epic. As they transform into an eclectic cast of characters, from the ambitious Gutenberg to a scheming monk and a dim-witted peasant, their dedication and earnestness shine through, making for an evening that is as heartwarming as it is hilarious.

Directed by Alex Timbers, Gutenberg! The Musical came to life in 2005, written by Scott Brown and Anthony King, when they were part of a legendary improv troupe, Upright Citizens Brigade, where it was part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. More recently, it was seen on Broadway in 2024 with Book of Mormon alums Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad.
