The Phantom comes to Sydney Harbour courtesy of Handa Opera! In 1986, Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece, a wild and major romantic fantasy based on the 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux, opened in the West End. Audiences immediately took to the epic rock opera, and The tortured Phantom, played by Michael Crawford, captivated theatre-goers for the first time in this timeless tale of an ostracised misfit falling for a chorus girl.
Candlelight: The Best of Joe Hisaishi

You may not recognize his name, but you will know his work! As the celebrated composer for some of Studio Ghibli's most enchanting animated movies, Joe Hisaishi is a master of the soundtrack using a fusion of European classical, Japanese traditional, ambient electronic and minimalist music to conjure up the wonderful worlds of My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and more, creating a nostalgic and whimsical sound. Presented by fever, this candlelit concert features a raft of Hisaishi's best works for Ghibli, played by an accomplished string quartet.

Either way, someone's been murdered, and it's up to a group of well-heeled, colourful party guests to find out! Based both on the classic board game and the cult 1985 film adaptation, prepare for an evening of mirthful mystery for all ages as Cluedo kicks off at Sydney Theatre Royal in April 2026.
